In January 2007 the OPCA published its Camping in Ontario directory affectionately known as “the red book”. The OPCA is the representative body of privately owned and operated campgrounds in the province of Ontario. We redesigned the new guide with fresh colours, crisp, readable typefaces and a clean, clear layout. We also created a new look for the cover which reinforced the “red book” branding and includes headlines for the great resources provided by the OPCA in their free directory. I love the look of our 2007 directory. Sandra has managed to make a 38-year-old publication look fresh and new while retaining the original format. The colour choices and fonts make the directory easy to read. Our corporate advertisements are simple and clean – but extremely effective and convey the camping feeling. We are receiving nothing but positive feedback on this year’s publication.

The OPCA wanted to promote and increase the use of their extensive online database of member’s campgrounds in their 2007 directory. We created these ads in the form of silhouettes of various camping vehicles so that they stood out from the average rectangular magazine advertisement. The directory is nicknamed “the red book” because of the use of red on its cover and by using red in these ads we reinforced this popular branding. In each ad a fictitious camper asks a different question they need to know about the campground they are thinking about visiting. The ads let campers know that they can get answers to all their questions at the OPCA’s website campinginontario.ca

Integrated Paving Concepts distributes two new products

IPC is a world leader in decorative asphalt applications. Ennis Paint and IPC recently announced a new strategic relationship. IPC will be the exclusive North American distributor of two leading decorative asphalt products – Imprint and StoneGrip – both manufactured by Ennis. We created new logos for these products which reinforce IPC’s branding.

According to Gabriel Pineda, IPC’s Marketing Manager, Ennis Paint’s decision to invite IPC to become the exclusive distributor for these two products was influenced by the positive impression the identity we developed for IPC made on them.

Imprint is a hot-applied, resin-based synthetic asphalt that provides a realistic simulation of brick pavers for high-traffic crosswalk and intersection applications. StoneGrip is an epoxy-based, permanently bonded decorative gravel surface treatment that provides a beautiful, durable and low-maintenance surface for a wide variety of uses including hardscapes, pathways, parking lots and driveways.
